An Apple ID is an account that every Apple product owner needs. It makes it possible to download media content to Apple devices, connect to services, store data in the cloud storage and much more. Of course, in order to log in, you’ll need to know your Apple ID. The task gets harder if you forget it.

The Apple ID is based on the email address that the user gives during the registration process. Unfortunately, this kind of information is easily forgotten, and at the most important moment you can’t remember it. What to do?

Please note that there are some online services, which supposedly allow you to check your Apple ID via IMEI. We strongly advise you not to use these services, because at best you will spend some money for nothing; at worst you will get tricked into locking your device remotely (if you had the “Find iPhone” feature activated).

Finding out the Apple ID on the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch that you signed in with

The easiest way to find out your Apple ID, which will help if you have an Apple device that’s already logged into your account.

Through App Store

You can only purchase apps and install updates on them if you have logged in to your Apple ID. If you can access these features, you are also logged in and therefore able to see your email address.

Go to the “Selection” tab, and then go down to the very bottom of the page. You’ll see an “Apple ID” item with your email address next to it.

Through iTunes Store

The iTunes Store is a standard app on your device that lets you purchase music, ringtones, and movies. Similar to the App Store, you can browse the Apple ID there as well.

Under the Music, Movies, or Sounds tab, scroll to the end of the page where your Apple ID should appear.

Through “Settings”

Open the Settings app on your device.
Launching the Settings app.

Scroll down to about the center of the page, finding “iCloud.” Underneath that, in small print, you’ll see your Apple ID email address.

Through Find iPhone app

If you’ve authorized in the Find iPhone app at least once, your Apple ID email address will automatically appear thereafter.

You will be able to see your email address in the “Apple ID” column.

Now, let’s go over ways to view your Apple ID on your computer.

Through program menu

This method will allow you to find out your Apple ID on your computer, but again, as long as you are logged into your account in iTunes.

Start iTunes, and then click on the “Account” tab. Your name and email address will be visible at the top of the window that appears.

Through iTunes library

If you have at least one file in your iTunes library, you can find out which account it was purchased through.

To do this, open the “Media Library” section in the program, and then select the tab with the type of data you want to show. For example, we want to display the library of stored apps.

Right-click an app or other media library file and choose Details from the context menu that appears.

Click the File tab. Here, you will see your email address next to “Buyer.

If none of these methods work

In case neither iTunes nor your apple device has the ability to view your Apple ID login, you can try to recall it on the Apple website.

To do so, follow this link to the access recovery page, and then click on the “Forgot Apple ID” button.

The screen will ask you to enter information that will allow you to locate your account – that’s your first name, last name, and intended email address.

You may have to make several attempts to search for your Apple ID, specifying any possible information until the system displays a positive search result.

Actually, these are all the ways to find out the login of a forgotten Apple ID. We hope this information has been useful to you.
