Today, we’re going to look at ways to unlink your bank card from your Apple ID.
Unlinking bank card from Apple ID
While there is a site for managing your Apple ID that allows you to interact with all your account data, you can’t unlink your card with it: you can only change the payment method. There are two methods to fully unlink the card: using the Apple device and iTunes.
Please note that by untethering your card and not attaching another payment method, you will only be able to download free content from the stores.
Almost everyone who has an Apple device has the iTunes program installed on their computer, which allows you to establish a connection between your gadget and PC or laptop. With this program, you can also edit your Apple ID and, in particular, unlink your card.
Launch iTunes. At the top of the window, click the “Account” button and navigate to the “View” section.

You’ll need to enter your account password to continue.
Signing in to your Apple ID through iTunes
To the right of “Payment Method,” click the “Edit” button.

You will see a window pop up to select a payment option. You can either add a new card or phone number if you want to pay from balances, or select “No.” to signify that no other payment option will be associated with your account. This is the item you should select.
Click the “Done” button in the lower right area to accept the changes.
Using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch
And, of course, the task at hand can easily be accomplished with your Apple gadget.
Launch the App Store app. In the “Selection” tab at the very bottom, tap on your Apple ID.
